In a classic book for creatives, ‘The Artist’s Way’, Julia Cameron wrote: “Shadow artists often choose shadow careers – those close to the desired art, even parallel to it, but not the art itself.”
In 2023 I wrote: “Until all copy is written by bots – and AI has replaced traditional marketing – find some examples of my ‘shadow artistry’ here.” – and here we are.
So until I publish my first book, I practice storylines for my clients. Because however advanced the algorithms become, people will want to read human stories – stories with soul.
Preferably stories with a wink. I have a soft spot for brands with an activist spirit and a cheeky tone of voice.
