Creating content with impact

Communicating = Storytelling

In a classic book for creatives, ‘The Artist’s Way’, Julia Cameron wrote: “Shadow artists often choose shadow careers – those close to the desired art, even parallel to it, but not the art itself.”

Perhaps that is what I am, a shadow writer. I think of it like this: until I publish my first bestseller, I get to practice storylines for my clients. Because however advanced the algorithms become, in the end, people will want to read human stories.

So whether it is an Instagram caption or a long blog post, I write stories. Informative yet catchy stories, because a little entertainment goes a long way in keeping your audience engaged! I do have a soft spot for brands with an activist spirit and a cheeky tone of voice.

So until all copy is written by bots – and AI has replaced traditional advertising – find some examples of my ‘shadow artistry’ here.

A note ✍️

Working in communications means being involved in a million things all at once and adapting to the client’s tone of voice. To read more of my own writing, check out my travel blog on digital nomadism.
