Spring flowers make me forgive grey skies for their rain

The last drive to the airport is always a special one. There’s anticipation, nervousness, melancholy, and after a sleepless night - it makes for a mix of jittery emotions.

I love it.

It promises change and adventure or reunions with loved ones, the return to a familiar home or the anticipation of an entirely new one.

I feel the same about spring. Spring fever is so very much a thing (for me).

But before that, there is the rain. The endless rain.

The spring flowers are there to remind me that those grey skies were there for a reason.
